The White Swiss Shepherd Dog is surely one of the most beautiful dog races .
With its charm, its appearance and its intelligence this friend is a constant source of joy.
This dog race used to be known as American Canadian White Shepherd but since 2003 it got an official FCI name now known as White Swiss Shepherd Dog or Berger Blanc Suisse.

The Berger Blanc Suisse descends directly of the German Shepherd;
In 1933 the colour White was removed out of the Breed standard of the German Shepherd Dog.
Because of that removal in the breed standard almost all White German Shepherd dogs in Europe disappeared. In the USA and Canada some people who loved this kind of dog were breeding with the ' rare white bloodlines', and by a carefull breeding policy a new independent race arose.
The current White Shepherd has a different confirmation than the German Shepherd dog.
